Here are a few projects I've worked on over the last little while.... This cute little headband! This cute Family Tree in brown with colorful fall blocks! This cute diaper bag for a boy! A cute Colonial Dress costume for my 5th Grader! A cute and comfy car seat cover!(Oop! It's upside down) Another cute bag for my husband's co-worker with her name on it! I love my embroidery machine! and another Family Tree - this one for my mother-in-law!
When I last wrote, I was working on my weight loss. Unfortunately, I was in a car accident just after leaving our biggest loser contest results meeting. My husband was out of town and I was with my three girls. It wasn't super bad, but it was a little freaking because we were on a bridge getting ready to turn onto the freeway. After the accident I couldn't walk and had to go to an After Hours Clinic and have it checked out. I was told that I had broken the tibia off of my ankle bone. Holy Cow! I then had to go to a specialist. He took some x-rays and said that it wasn't actually broken, but that I had broken my foot/ankle previously in the past and didn't know it. When it healed, it grew all kinds of stalagmites and stalactites of bone, etc. in my foot/ankle and that I would need to have my ankle fused. So, on July 25, 2012, I had surgery. I was only supposed to be out for about 4-6 weeks, but my bone wouldn't grow back so I had to use a bone stimulator to encourage it to grow. It took 4 months before I could walk on my foot and now I'm working on building strength and flexibility. This means that I will have to start my weight loss journey over....so here I go!

I'm now in the 5th week of my Just the Fat Biggest Loser Contest. We began 5 weeks ago with our initial weigh-in. They took our weight, body fat percentage, and body measurements. I for sure didn't think I was experiencing any success. During my midway weigh-in I only lost 1.7 lbs., but I lost 5 inches total, four of which were just fat....YAY!!! I can't wait to see what the last week brings. I've been working out 3 times a week. I know it should be more, but for just a beginner, I feel it's pretty good. I also have the most AMAZING trainers! Jeromy and Jane Williams are so AWESOME!!! They work you hard and are so encouraging. I love them so much!!! One of the most amazing changes is the fact that I am changing from the inside out! I am now craving healthy foods and want to drink more water than anything with sugar. Now I'm not perfect and I still indulge a little here and there, but I can tell the difference in how I feel when I eat right vs. when I eat things I shouldn't. My body hurts so bad when I eat crappy and I feel so terrible. Eating healthy makes me feel so good with a lot less aches and pains. I also don't get mad at myself if I choose to eat something I shouldn't. I just start over the next day. It's been so great! I can't wait for the end result but I'm enjoying this part of the journey! (P.S. As usual it's not the greatest picture). I wouldn't mind looking like this when I meet my goal! Of course a little taller and my own age!

I came across this image the other day on Pinterest and thought of myself. I certainly need to make changes in my life especially since I've gained 25 pounds in the last 6 months. Our family is heading for a dangerous road and as the mom I need to get us all back on track! We are definitely going to make the changes even if it kills us! (I'm sure that it will actually prolong our lives). Starting over is really hard and getting 5 people to do it sometimes makes the job even harder. We do have a few new tools to help us, and if you are interested, you can take a look at them at www.joylifeusa.com.
I've been watching my nieces and nephew and trying to get my house under control. I must say that I haven't had much success getting the house done, but I sure enjoy spending the time with these little ones. I will try to post some of the projects that I've done over the past year soon.
